Microsoft on Tuesday updated Office for Mac 2011, the long-in-the-tooth productivity suite tailored to machines running Apple's OS X, with bug fixes, features and compatibility with the Office 365 subscription service. To use AutoUpdate, start a Microsoft Office program, and then click Check for Updates on the Help menu. It automatically keeps Microsoft software up-to-date. Microsoft AutoUpdate for Mac is provided together with Office. When Software Update says that your Mac is up to date, the installed version of macOS and all of its apps are also up to date. Or click ”More info” to see details about each update and select specific updates to install. If any updates are available, click the Update Now button to install them. Go to Download Earlier Versions of Office at to download the file. Download and install or reinstall Office for Mac 2011. Though the latest package is still not on par with the Windows version (you get only the four main programs-a big difference when you consider the Windows version has 10), Microsoft made a big leap with this latest version for the Mac in several other ways. Microsoft Office for Mac 2011 offers a solid update to the Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and the other members of the productivity suite. In the About dialog box, note the version number that is displayed. Open the Microsoft Office 2011 folder, and then start any Office application.
